Conceived in the USA and born in Nigeria. The word Ákwà simply means “Cloth” in Igbo, a West African Language. Ákwà is prounounced like the Latin word, “Aqua” which symbolizes cohesiveness, fluidity and life.

At Ákwà, we strive to bring our customers a variety of Afro-Fusion Styles, ranging from everyday wear to classic timeless pieces. Our clothing can be paired with staple items in your closet.

We believe style should be expressive, vibrant and non-conforming. With this in mind, we strategically handpick our fabric prints, carefully design and hand-make our clothing.
